随着学术研究的全球化,元话语在学术摘要中的使用越来越受到重视。本研究旨在探讨中美体育学博士论文摘要中元话语的使用情况,并分析其对学术写作的启示。研究采用定性与定量相结合的方法,选取中美体育学博士论文摘要作为研究对象。研究发现,中美体育学博士论文摘要中的元话语使用存在共性与差异,主要取决于语言特点、读者期待、体裁和写作传统等多种因素。研究结果对于学术写作教育和实践具有启示作用,特别是指导学生如何根据不同背景下有效地使用元话语以促进信息传递效率和提高学术交流。With the globalization of academic research, more and more attention has been paid to the use of metadiscourse in academic abstracts. The purpose of this study is to explore the use of metadiscourse in Chinese and American physical education doctoral dissertation abstracts, and to analyze its implications for academic writing. The research adopts the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, and selects the Chinese and American physical education doctoral dissertation abstracts as the research object. It is found that there are similarities and differences in the use of metadiscourse in physical education doctoral dissertation abstracts between China and America, which are mainly determined by language characteristics, readers’ expectations, genres and writing traditions. The results of the study have implications for academic writing education and practice, especially in guiding students how to effectively use metadiscourse according to different contexts to promote the efficiency of information transmission and academic communication.
