The paper focuses on the position rule of two kinds of inscriptions on bones.In Dui Zhen inscriptions, the positive questions are on the right side and the negative questions are on the left side. In Jia qiao inscriptions, the words on the right side are about "somebody" or "somebody gives something" while the left side is empty. If it needs somethingwritten on the left side, the words are always quite simple. From this point, we can see that the ancient in Shang Dynasty appreciated the right side. This discovery will give a great helpto the work on the inscriptions on bones in Shang Dynasty.
Hui (叀) and Wei (隹) is a pair of auxiliary words that indicates moodin common use of oracle inscriptions. They have a guess mood with stress, mostlyuse in the question sentence and judge sentence. Hui (叀) mainly use in thepositive sentences; Wei (隹) use both in the positive sentences and in thenegative sentences. The two words have positive or negative guess mood separately.The guess moods they have deal with oracle inscriptions which are prejudgesentences, and the result sentences of the oracle inscriptions never use them.From then, Hui (叀) becomes Hui (惠) in the the ancient literature record, andWui (隹) becomes Wui (惟?唯?维). The usage of Wei (隹) is flexible than Hui(叀), therefore Wui (唯) was used mostly in the ancient literature records thanHui(惠).
