This paper aims to make a concise summary of the research on foregrounding in China over the past decade. The research on foregrounding in China can be mainly classified into four categories according to different focuses.

The anthropomorphization of Buck is aided by its unique narrative method. The novel is a powerful allegory for human nature and successfully appeals to readers.
