An RP-HPLC method was used to determine the content of berberine hydrochloride in Fuyanxiao tablets on a Diamonsil C_ 18 column. The mobile phase was a CH_ 3CN/KH_ 2P0_ 4(volume ratio 30∶70) mixture of pH=3, and the average rate of recovery of berberine hydrochloricde was 98.18%, with a RSD of 0.92%( n=5). The method is simple and accurate,and can be used for the quality control in the production of Fuyanxiao tablet.
