Since the AIDS in USA was first discovered in San Francisco,it has spread quickly nationwide,covering the 50 States.From 1981 to 1988,100,000 individuals were infected with HIV.The figure reached 1,500,000 in 1991 and 2,5000,000 in 1995,and cumulatively 750,000 cases of AIDS were reported.Now,the US government and people,conscious of the grave problem,are directing great efforts to the prevention and control of AIDS and HIV infection,including multi-disciplinary researches on efficacious drugs,health care of patients and infected people,and financial support for the all-round prevention and control strategy.
