CrCl3·6H2O/hydrogenated bis-Schiff base is found to be an effective catalyst system for synthesis of bis（indoly） methane via electrophilic addition reaction of indoles with aldehydes using acetonitrile as the solvent. The yields of isolated products are from good to excellent.
Schiff base-Cu（II） complex is found to be an effective catalyst for the condensation reaction of indole with aldehydes using ethanol as the solvent. The characterization of the catalysts was carried out using XRD and FT-IR.

A series of novel pyrazoles compounds were synthesized by the reaction of five kinds of substitute α-bromoacetophenone with pyrazole intermediates which was prepared by the reaction of chalcones and thiosemicarbazones. This method has some advantages such as mild reaction condition, easy operation and higher yield. All the compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR.

Friedel-Crafts alkylation of indoles with nitroalkenes catalyzed by a novel Zn（II）-thiourea complex has been developed. The remarkable advantages of this reaction are mild reaction conditions, simple workup procedure, high yield of products and the use of ethanol as acceptable solvent.
