A series of novel polylactide （PLA） polymers were synthesized initiated by 4-dicyanomethylene- 2-methyl-6-{4-[（2-hydroxyethyl）（methyl）amino]styryl}-4H-pyran （DCM） with Sn（Oct）2 as catalyst. The color and emission of the polymer can be tuned just with polymer molecular weight.
